Shepherd’s Huts
These handcrafted shepherd’s huts are uniquely designed and built by us with comfort and relaxation in mind. Each has its own interior toilet, shower and cooking facilities. There’s an outdoor seating area with a fire pit. You won’t have any close neighbours, so you can thoroughly savour the peace!
Bell Tent
You may be under canvas, but we can assure you our bell tent is a home from home. With a double bed, rugs, cushions and throws, you’ll be warm and comfy. There is a firepit and BBQ just outside of The Bell Tent so you will be able to kick back, cook food, stay toasty and be thoroughly at ease.

Each individual, tranquil spot sits within our 25 acres of downland meadows, next to a small fishing lake or near to the bubbling Sturkel Brook. Every accommodation has been carefully chosen so you won’t be disturbed while you enjoy the lovely views across the site. Which of our relaxation destinations will be your favourite?

Whether you seek a romantic getaway or a tranquil retreat, our adult glamping experience blends comfort with the great outdoors, allowing you to unwind under the open sky and reconnect with the rhythm of nature. Relax in your own private outdoor bath with a jacuzzi, complete with a built-in heater to keep the water perfectly warm as you soak beneath the stars. Dogs are welcome too!

A short twenty-minute country walk away is the historic Saxon town of Shaftesbury, famous for Gold Hill, the location of the 1980s Ridley Scott-directed Hovis advert. Lakeside Tranquility is a central location for many local attractions including Salisbury, Bath and the Jurassic south coast. Thank you Lakeside for providing us with a truly relaxing and rejuvenating time. The setting is so very natural and beautiful and we loved spending a couple of days there. The little island, surrounded by water and beautiful trees in the centre, was a particular highlight for us. We sat for many hours there enjoying the firepit, under snuggly blankets and enjoying the quiet of nature around us. The town of Shaftesbury is only a few minutes away where we discovered bakeries and local pubs plus a larger supermarket for essentials. Nikki (the owner) made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. Thank you so much, we can’t wait to return.
